At Fight To Win (FTW), we strive to give excellent instruction to each student. Through a systematic method of learning and drilling techniques, each student is given the freedom to grow at their own pace. Whether you are a recreational student who just wants to learn Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) and get in shape or a competitive athlete looking for a greater challenge, FTW is the best decision you can make.

Kids Jiu Jitsu

Our kids program is a transition class to the adult program. Students will learn Gracie Self-Defense, Jiu Jitsu, self discipline and self respect. Through careful instruction and functional games children will learn the skills they need to grow into young adults.

Fundamentals Class

The fundamentals class is an introduction to BJJ with the gi (the traditional uniform). Here we focus on basics of movement, balance and self-defense. The class will consist of stretching, learning how to fall, basic ground techniques and drilling movements. There is no live sparring in this class; instead, we practice competitive sparring drills that develop a foundation in the sport. The class will cover everything that is needed to comfortably transition into the advanced program.

Advanced Class

This is where the art truly begins to take shape. In this class, we focus on improving fundamentals and transitions as well as building a personal style for each student. Time will be spent learning the intricacies of takedowns and groundfighting techniques, followed by a live sparring session. All students are currently invited to join the advanced program. If you can’t make it to the 6pm class for any reason feel free to join us at 7pm. Just be aware that it is a slightly faster paced program focusing primarily on the more advanced students.

Submission Wrestling

Submission wrestling will focus on fundamental jiu-jitsu and takedowns without the gi. The techniques are the same as in BJJ, but the timing and explosions are different. Here we will focus on drills and conditioning. This class schedule is run the same as with the gi and all students are welcome at 6pm and 7pm. There will also be a cardio program available from 7pm-7:20pm.

Judo

The Judo program is to help students understand the essence off-balancing and take downs with the gi. Here we work on traditional Judo with an emphasis on transitions into the ground work of Jiu Jitsu. This class will be based on instructor availability.

Gracie Self-Defense

Self-Defense classes are centered on the battle tested techniques developed by Grand Master Helio Gracie. They are designed to put jiu jitsu into more "real life" situations, including strikes, take downs, clench work and ground techniques. Here we will focus on the leverage and balance needed for a smaller person to fend off a much larger attacker. We currently offer Gracie Self Defense on Wednesday evening from 6pm-7pm. The program will be expanded as needed and Self Defense seminars will be offered on a regular basis.

Muay Thai

As a new addition to the program, we are offering striking to our students. Here we will focus on learning the fundamentals of striking with eight points of contact fists, elbows, knees and feet. This class will be based on instructor availability.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)

The mixed martial arts (MMA) program is for the advanced student. We will incorporate striking from the feet and the ground, closing the distance for takedowns and implement overall combat training strategies. This class will focus heavily on conditioning and sparring. Our MMA program is currently under construction and will resume soon.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are an excellent way to quickly improve your overall game. Each person learns at a different pace, so nothing is more effective than one-on-one attention from the instructor on the particular areas of your game that require improvement. Please see your instructor for available times and pricing.
