NAME:Garrett Tyler

AGE:19

OCCUPATION:Exercise Science Student at UNC Charlotte

RANK: Blue Belt

TIME TRAINING: About 1 Year

WHY YOU TRAIN JIU JITSU:
I began training jiu jitsu because I have always been a small guy and I wanted to be able to defend myself, when I heard about a martial art that allowed a man as small as myself to defend himself against bigger more athletic guys I had to find somewhere that I could learn this. I began training when I found Fight to WIn and I fell in love with jiu jitsu. I look forward to training and spending time on the mat like a young kid does waiting for Santa Claus on Christmas eve.

Steve is a great instructor who really focuses on making sure that the students see as much detail as possible. Also, and I believe more importantly, he makes sure that every person who trains at Fight to Win knows that we are not just a team, we are a family, anyone who walks through the door is welcome to be a part of that family as long as they have the right attitude!
