I don't know much about yoga for fighters, but ginastca natural is very good. It covers a lot of the things we already do, with a twist.

I have both videos....somewhere. I bought them last summer. I really enjoyed Ginastica Natural, did some things at home for awhile, but really needed more room. My plan was to do it on Saturday mornings at FTW before open mat. Someone even brought in a DVD player. Can't remember if I even had a chance to watch Yoga for Fighters, I got it right before I hurt my knee, so that was the end of that....until now.

I've been saying that I want to start training on Saturdays. I think I'm ready to now. If you want, I could bring them in and you can watch / do them with me. The invitation is open to everyone. I won't be able to start until next Saturday though b/c I have a conference to go to this Saturday.

I'd definitely be interested in trying out Ginastica Natural - I've actually wanted to try it since watching a clip of Galvao do it (or something very similar)...

Debbie, I love the idea of doing this at the school on Saturdays!

I have also told myself every now and again that I would do this at home, but the concrete floor in the converted mill where I currently live in is too hard for any more than the bodyweight/ab stuff I do on a yoga mat, while FTW has the nicest and most forgiving mat in town!

Great!! I am glad there is an interest. It will be more fun doing it as a group.

I didn't realize that next weekend is a holiday weekend...I am supposed to be going out of town. I am sure others are as well. So why don't we plan to start on Saturday, September 11? Since open mat is from 10-12, we should probably start around 8:30 / 9? Does that sound like a good start time to everyone who's interested? Let me know if you have other suggestions.

I'm definitely down for this and I'm right around the corner so 9:00 is easy enough for me.

Yoga For Fighters and Ginastica Natural is on for this Saturday, 9/11 @ 9am.

I've been watching both dvd's and think it would be best to start with the sun salutations, from Yoga For Fighters, and then get into some of the basic Ginastica moves. I brought my dvd's to the school last night to see if they would play in the dvd player but it was jammed. So....would anyone happen to have a spare dvd player? If not, I'll figure something out.

Either way, I will be there at 9. Hope to see you guys there!

please post at least an hour in advance IF this is NOT happening.

as far as the DVD player goes, worst case scenario I figure we can get one fom the fine folks at ZX Fitness, if that is not overstepping any bounds, or else chip in on the cheapest one at Super Walmart next door I guess.

It went well, Chris. There were four of us on Saturday and I believe there will be a few more people joining us this Saturday.

Everyone is welcome so come on out.
