I would like to do a better job of recycling the plastic bottles and cans that we throw away at the school. Will you guys help me please?

After just one or two days of classes the school produces enough plastic bottles and cans to fill the blue recycling bin. I brought the recycling bin in over a year ago when Cabarrus County passed its recycling law. Unfortunately, the law is not enforced and Peak Fitness does not pay for recycling, therefore there is no service at the gym. So, we will have to do it on our own. I will be in charge of the recycling but I need all of you to help me.

It may seem petty, but if you saw how many bottles FTW produces everyday, you would understand. Plus the fact that the bottles take up so much space in our landfills and take THOUSANDS of years to biodegrade.

The blue bin is located next to the drink machine by the front door. Some of you have been using it (thank you) but based on the number of bottles that I pick out of the garbage cans...most people don't. I really don't like sticking my hands in the garbage cans...so if you could please throw any bottles or cans in the blue bin that would help me a lot. I will pack them up and get rid of them. Actually, one of the students in the Kids Class is a Boy Scout and his dad told me that the Boy Scouts get credit for bottles and cans so I will be giving the recyclables to him.

We will be helping to save the environment and helping the Boy Scouts at the sam time! Thanks, Guys : )
